Good Evening!
PLL is finished!! Woo-Hoo!! I finished everything except the whiskers on Lenora (the leopard) and Lionel (the lion) Saturday night, but by 11:30 I was so tired and feeling cross-eyed, that I could not put the final stitches in then. I knew I would be up early on Sunday. Tyg always wakes me up way too early (*like 5 a.m.), so that is when I finished the final stitches. It ended up being just about 18.5" by 18.25", stitched on 32 count linen from my stash with DMC threads. Here is an overall picture:
Well, forget that. I can't seem to add any pictures. I tried last night too. Everything freezes either trying to upload from my camera or my computer.
I have close-ups of Lenora and Lionel as well and also the middle section at the bottom with the final flower added. I will try again tomorrow to show photos.
Meanwhile, I did have two new starts on Sunday: Elizabeth Mitchell using AVAS on 40 count wood smoke linen (thank you Nicola for the chart and fabric!!). I have some problems stitching on dark fabric, but this will be so pretty. N. Hinde I am doing over one on 40 count white fabric using Crescent Colors "Red Licorice." I'm loving this one as well. Not enough progress on either to merit a picture (which I can't post anyway...).
I'm so excited to finally have a finish (just wish I could show you all), but in a way I am already missing PLL. It was my constant companion for the past 14 months or so...kept me company while our son was in Korea, etc.
I am so enjoying everyone's finishes and progress reports. So glad this blog will continue. Back soon with photos, hopefully.
