Good Evening All,
Once again modest progress to report. Stitching was limited recently as I ended up getting the stomach bug going around my office…suffice it to say I was out of commission for several days. And the weather – ugh…grey, grey, dingy days have abounded. Finally the sun came out late today and it warmed up a bit (after finding ice and snow on my car this morning – this IS the winter that will not give up).
I spent the weekend in Maryland at a friend’s house. We had not seen each other since around Christmas time, so it was fun to re-connect and lots of retail therapy was done (including 7 skeins of yarn at the local yarn shop). And, my friend gifted me with an Ott light. A small, but very powerful little gem that works wonderfully. It will stand on a table and will be ideal for taking on vacation as it is rechargeable. Best of all, it makes it possible to stitch on Elizabeth Mitchell on a grey day! Without further rambling, here is the progress on Elizabeth Mitchell (minimal, I know…but I only just got the light):
And, here is the progress on the Scottish Sampler – this one is moving along nicely and I am on the bottom quarter now. Am loving the colors and all the designs in this one.
We are getting ready for vacation at the beginning of May. I need to plan stitching (and knitting) to take along. I will be visiting the Scarlet Letter – Woo-hoo!!! Will take pictures and hopefully will be able to post (we will be camping…not sure of internet availability…but will try my best). And, will post before we take off.
