"Mary" Mondays - Mary Hurst SAL

Checking in on our first “Mary” Monday I would like to bounce some ideas around with the group.

Sometimes SAL’s don’t suit everyone’s work loads and standing commitments so I think it would be nice not to have fixed deadlines.

Stitching is all about enjoyment not pressure.

How about if we try and work on Mary at least once per week whether that session is just putting in just one strand of floss or a few hours of work - we all have a pace we like to work at and a SAL is not a race to the finish.

The important thing is that in a few weeks or month’s down the line she is not at the bottom of your WIP basket forgotten about and that momentum is maintained.

Mondays will make a good check in day when we can share our progress and tips about Mary.

Originally I was thinking to start the SAL in the middle of January but I understand that there are quite a few who like to start a project on New Year’s Day. What are your thoughts about a start date?
